

Sunday results - Tobol and Odessa are through
By: Ian Rose | July 15th, 2007The second round of the Intertoto Cup came to a close today, with Tobol Kostenay of Kazakhstan and Chornomorets Odessa of Ukraine moving into the next round. Tobol was coming off of a 1-1 draw in the first leg at home, but played strong on the road for a 2-0 result and a win on aggregate goals. Odessa also won 2-0 on the road, finishing off their opponents 6-2 in total.
Now, for the third round ties. The winner of these two-leg matches are in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Cup. The first team listed for each tie hosts the first match next weekend. Teams in bold are those that have worked their way up from the first round. For these teams, especially, a trip to the UEFA Cup is a huge achievement.
